The most prominent innovations in the Gorenjska region

Last Wednesday, the Chamber of Craft of the Gorenjska Region presented special recognition awards for the most prominent innovations in the Gorenjska region. This year, Iskraemeco's innovators declared two innovations to the invitation for NAJ INOVACIJA Gorenjske 2006. Both of them received a gold recognition award. This has ranked Iskraemeco among the most innovative companies in the region.

Iskraemeco is a high technologically-oriented company which can succeed, in this tough competition, only with a strong innovation activity. This is proven by a number of patents and the fact that we are the first in the world to set up a great AMR system (Vatenfall), the greatest GSM/GPRS project in the world (Teliasonera), that our technologically most developed meters are present on all continents, and finally, that on our initiative, meter manufacturers join and cooperate in the standardisation of communication protocols and the introduction of system interoperability.

In 2006, the commission, consisting of experts from R&D, Production, Technology, Quality, Material Supply, Marketing and Economics dealt with 25 innovations filed by 62 authors. Most innovations (15) were contributed by experts from the field of R&D. The commission selected two of them and sent them to participate in the contest for the best innovation in the Gorenjska region. The fact that both of them received a gold recognition award proves that our decision was correct. One innovation was even chosen to represent Iskraemeco at the national contest.

The first innovation that received gold recognition is »Multirate electric energy meter with integrated circuit for data collection and processing«. Its authors are Vojko Strle (employed in Iskraemeco in 2006), Miro Rozman, ScD, Milan Kosma? in Uro? Bizjak, ScD.
The authors of the second one, » A casing for detecting any kind of opening«, are: Zoran Krsnik, Matja? Thaler, Petar ?timac, Janez Poga?nik, Bo?tjan Dol?an and Milan Vrbica (employed in Iskraemeco in. 2006). The latter will represent Iskraemeco on the national level. This innovation also helped Iskraemeco to get business at EDF, the greatest French distribution company.
