(3 October 2006) Today the Supervisory Board of Iskraemeco unanimously accepted the resignation statements submitted by the Supervisory Board’s members. Two new members of the Supervisory Board were unanimously confirmed at the Supervisory Board meeting. The company will be led by Janko ?teharnik, M.Sc. and Robert Bratu?a, M.Sc. will act as his deputy. Marjan Ga?perlin, former member of the Managing Board - Worker Director will keep his position also in the new Managing Board. All other members of the previous Managing Board will stay in the company.
At the Supervisory Board meeting the members also discussed the issue of raising additional capital for the company. In accordance with the stock exchange rules, the Managing Board published on Friday, 29 September 2006, an invitation to the company’s shareholders for subscription and payment of new shares. While Iskraemeco as an authorised company, ceded the pre-emptive right to DUS (Funds Management Company), the funds for raising additional capital will be provided by the Slovenska od?kodninska dru?ba, d.d. (the Slovene Restitution Fund) and the Kapitalska dru?ba, d.d. (Pension Management Fund). In the first step, SOD and KAD will pay in 2.6 billion SIT, out of the anticipated 2.7 billion SIT. Both companies gave assurance that the funds would be paid in on Thursday, 5 October 2006.
The new Managing Board announced that by raising additional capital they would provide for, in the first step, the company’s normal business operations, whereas, in the long run they would set the development strategy which might be interesting for the strategic partner, thus providing the basis for the company’s long-term existence.
